Plaque HD® Identifies the Problem AND Could Save Your Smile

It’s not everyday in our blog where we recommend a specific product, but not a day goes by in our practice where we don’t recommend a plaque identifying toothpaste called Plaque HD® for our patients.

A recent study published in The American Journal of Medicine showed that significant reductions in dental plaque and inflammation throughout the body occurred in individuals who brushed with Plaque HD® vs those who had not. The observed reduction in inflammation supports the hypothesis of a reduction in risks of cardiovascular disease by reducing plaque.

Dr. Randy Feldman, Chief Smile Officer of Blue Wave Orthodontics outlines three benefits of the product below, and found this illustrative YouTube video from the manufacturer. Dr. Feldman adds, “the video is great because it features statements from both dental professionals and patients, and most importantly shows you how it identifies plaque while brushing.”

Plaque HD® technology
  • Quickly identifies plaque by turning it green during brushing.
  • Shows you exactly where to concentrate your brushing.
  • Makes the benefits of good oral hygiene more fun and interesting.

Dr. Feldman summarizes his recommendation with a few closing thoughts. “You might think you are doing all you can to fight plaque, and that you are brushing properly, but the green reaction tends to show otherwise. What a great opportunity to identify your problem brushing areas and to practice better dental habits. Add Plaque HD® to your new year’s resolutions, and smile at the results.”

If you’ve tried the product, send us your comments on Facebook. We’d love to hear your opinion too. Did it make you a better brusher?
