The Humane Society Tampa Bay is dedicated to ending animal homelessness and providing care and comfort for companion animals in need.They are a limited admission shelter which only accept animals that they feel they can find homes for. They do not take in stray animals; however, refer these to the county facility where their owners can look for them.
They are a “No Kill for Space” shelter. This means that the shelter will not euthanize an animal to make space for another animal. They do euthanize animals that are too sick to be treated or too aggressive or behaviorally unsound to be suitable for adoption.
The Humane Society of Tampa Bay does its best to find homes for as many animals as possible. They are committed to a community approach to help lower the euthanasia in our county. They also have an aggressive transfer program which takes in animals from other shelters.
The Humane Society Tampa Bay is one of three charities in the Tampa Bay area in Feldman Orthodontics’ Big Give program. Dr. Feldman asks patients to choose one of these charities to which we will donate a portion of treatment costs on their behalf. At the end of each year, Dr. Feldman will personally provide a matching donation to the organization that has the highest level of patient support. These charities provide important resources and services for our neighbors in need, and we are proud to partner with them in achieving their goals.
