However, NOW that we have your attention, what parent wouldn’t appreciate less complaints, right? You’ll be happier too, if your teen is happy. So what prompts us to make these exciting claims and what is Invisalign? Read on.
The Invisalign teen system is a type of “CLEAR braces” that straighten the teeth, but as the name implies, are nearly invislble. Your child’s Invisalign Teen system includes clear aligners that are custom-made for them, with an individual treatment plan personally devised by Dr. Feldman who is in the top 1% of all Invisalign and Invisalign Teen providers in the world! The aligners must be worn for most of the day and all night during treatment, but are removable for eating, brushing, and flossing.

Invisalign Teen is nearly invisible anyway; but, they are also self-removable. No more braces in those important school, prom, or family photos.

Mom, I want candy, bubble gum, and taffy!
Well, we’re not huge fans of the stuff and with traditional braces our clients MUST avoid many varieties of food, especially the sticky gooey candy stuff. But hey, this is Invisalign Teen and guess what … your teen can and will eat anything. The aligners must be removed while eating, and that’s why anything goes. We still advise against such an atrocious diet, however for the occasional moment of sweet weakness it can be satisfied!
Dad, my braces are poking me!
It’s true. Sometimes traditional braces will create an uncomfortable situation because of a stray wire or missing bracket. Invisalign Teen is a smooth operator though. The aligners do a great job in straightening the teeth, and ALSO feel smooth and are very form-fitting. In other words, no emergencies or traumatic issues with Invisalign Teen.
Mom, my teeth hurt after my braces adjustment!
This is another common complaint about traditional braces, but is extremely UN-common with Invisalign Teen. There are no painful adjustments or procedures with Invisalign. The clear aligners move the teeth in micro-adjustments (weekly at Feldman Orthodontics) and this results in less discomfort, less complaints.
Dad, I lost my Invisalign tray!
Let’s face it. Teens loose stuff. If your teen loses an aligner, they can skip to the next week’s tray. Most Invisalign Teen treatment uses two-week aligners, however, Dr. Feldman creates enough so that trays are CHANGED WEEKLY! We will also replace any lost trays at no charge.
Mom, OMG these appointments take forever!
With Invisalign Teen, you will generally spend less time in our office than you would with other treatments. Invisalign Teen appointments are usually only 10-15 minutes long and are generally scheduled every 10-12 weeks, so your schedule and your teen’s life is minimally interrupted.
Dad, when are these braces coming off! It’s been forever already!

Mom, playing sports with my braces is annoying!
Playing sports are no problem with Invisalign Teen. No dangers for the teeth, no mouth guards needed, unless the sport already calls for them. No possible pain or injury as is possible with traditional braces.
